Inherent in our practice of Integrated Accountancy is the idea of duty of care. We believe that we have two main duties of care – one to our clients and the other to our team. Everything we do is predicated on constant improvement to both, and nothing brings us more satisfaction than knowing we are succeeding in both.
Our duty of care to our clients includes caring about and fully understanding their needs and goals and then applying all of our experience and skill to help serve those needs and achieve those goals. We believe that taking care of our clients means proactively helping to navigate the potholes in the road before running into them instead of just helping with a flat tire after hitting them. We value our clients’ businesses as if they were our own and always endeavour to serve from that perspective.
Our duty of care to our team members is rooted in a deep desire to be the type of place we would want to work. We believe that the work our team members do should enrich and support their lives, not the other way around. And because we think that the moments in life that truly matter rarely happen at work, we are committed to providing our team members with the flexibility they need so they never have to miss any of them.
In addition to these two primary duties of care, our philosophy also encompasses our overarching goal of being a positive influence within our community. We feel it is important to consistently work toward being a force for positivity, inclusion and the empowerment of all. While our priorities will always be first to our clients and our team, our hope is that by adhering to our mission statement, philosophy and core values we will also contribute positively to our community as a whole.
